Bitch and Doro to perform together at the Whisky a Go Go

Bitch and Doro at the Whsky a Go Go

The Whisky a Go Go continues to be very good to Bitch, both in having them play regularly and in pairing them with other legendary lady-fronted acts who were their contemporaries in the 1980's. We had Bitch and 45 Grave at the 2012 Sunset Strip Music Festival, as well as Bitch and Hellion last October. Now we have Bitch and Doro performing at the Whisky on Wednesday, March 18th!

The new Bitch lineup featuring Betsy, Scandall West on drums, Chris Cardenas (guitarist in Rikki Rockett's solo band), and bassist Angelo Espino from the Second All-Star Bitch Lineup as well as Heretic, Hirax, Anger As Art, Reverend, Once Dead and more, will take their new sound to the Whisky again. They will be perfroming on the same bill for the very first time with Doro Persch (Warlock), who will be bringing her long running and universally loved solo act Doro from Germany to Los Angeles. If you are in the LA area, this is a show that you will not want to miss!

Tickets to the show are available at Ticketweb.com. $22 General admission, $65 VIP.

Betsy Bitch is Americaís whip-cracking pioneer for women in heavy rock music. She is best known as the lady frontman of the Los Angeles-based heavy metal band Bitch.  Betsy has also worked with veteran Sunset Strip metal band Witch, and used to front the second-wave ska band The Boxboys.

Bitch has the distinction of being the first woman-fronted American metal band to ever be signed to a label, as well as the first band to release an album on the legendary Metal Blade Records.  Bitch would keep a steady profile throughout the eighties in the face of consistent disdain for woman-fronted heavy bands, proving that women can rock just as hard as their male counterparts.

This website is an information resource on Bitch and their pioneering singer, the fabulous Betsy Bitch.  The site features an extremely detailed Bitch Discography that chronicles every album and compilation that Bitch has ever appeared on, as well as a listing of Bitch member appearances on other albums outside of Bitch. Eventually we will publish a full Bitch Biography that will take you through the bandís story; for now we have a sample of what's to come. We also have an obituary page to Robby Settles, co-founder of Bitch, who passed away after a year-long battle with leukemia on May 26, 2010. In the near future, we hope to include more information on The Boxboys as well.
